What is Complai?
Complai is a unique purpose-built platform to support organisations in obtaining compliance with the most important Artificial Intelligence legislation, guidelines and standards. Complai supports obtaining compliance with AI Literacy (as described by the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (EU 2024/1689) and ISO 42001:2023 (AI Governance).
Complai supports you in meeting the requirements of the AI Act and ISO 42001 by creating an audit-ready status trail, providing all relevant documentation, monitoring your updates and aligning with the latest changes in legislation, standards or jurisprudence.
Complai offers a unique combination of a status monitoring platform, AI-generated user-specific documentation, an employee AI e-learning platform and the back-up expertise of a leading AI Business Transformation Consulting firm.
How does Complai work?
Complai delivers value for two groups of users:
Staff/employees by offering the most up-to-date AI e-learning platform with a portfolio of AI training videos ensuring they meet AI Literacy requirements and stay updated with the latest AI technologies.
Management by supporting compliance through a question-and-answer dialogue ensuring all relevant issues (as stated by the AI Act and AI Literacy guidelines) are addressed.
Complai has three main components:
The AI Management Assessment: focusing on AI policies, AI roles and responsibilities, your type of business, AI risk classification and risk management. It includes Complai generators to help define AI strategy and risk management procedures.
The AI Systems Assessment: focusing on the AI technologies used in your organisation—both familiar software packages with AI components and dedicated AI tools. Risk classifiers and information helpers lighten your workload.
The AI Staff Assessment: managing the data needed to demonstrate AI Literacy status. It monitors expertise inventory, planning and rollout of AI training and tracks actual training progress per staff member.
How does the AI Literacy part of Complai work?
Complai contains a portfolio of AI training sessions. According to the AI Act, training planning must be individualized based on each staff member’s background and expertise.
Complai uses a dedicated AI competence survey tool to generate individualized learning programs. Staff can follow training sessions individually, and progress is automatically tracked. A questionnaire validates the effectiveness of the training.
Organisations can define their own expertise levels and also upload their own training videos into the platform.
How are the status data presented by Complai?
Complai offers a dashboard presentation of key data with several layers. At the highest level, the overall compliance status with the selected platform is shown as a percentage. Component statuses are also shown as percentages, covering AI Management requirements compliance, AI Systems status compliance and AI Staff & Literacy compliance.
The highest level and subsequent detailed levels (AI Management details, AI Systems details and AI Staff & Literacy details) are available to users with admin and management roles.
Each staff member (managed by your Complai admin) has access to a personal page within Complai that supports completing the AI expertise survey, following the AI training plan and using the Complai e-learning functionality. Staff members can also track their own progress in meeting AI Literacy compliance.
What type of compliance does Complai support?
Complai will first cover the EU Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act (EU 2024/1689) and, from mid-2026, ISO 42001:2023.
In its basic form, Complai offers compliance support for AI Literacy within the scope set by the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP — the Dutch Data Protection Authority). This scope includes three key elements: AI management, AI systems risk assessment and AI literacy of your staff. The AP recommends a multi-year program based on continual improvement of your AI practices.
The Complai AI Literacy setting ensures you meet the AI Act requirements that became active on February 2, 2025.
By choosing the AI Act setting, Complai expands to a much broader scope, especially in AI risk management, by activating and tracking all requirements related to AI risk management (including the handling of High-Risk AI systems and the related AI Quality Management System).
Mid next year, Complai will be extended with ISO 42001 support. Complai will then be an audit-ready partner covering all clauses and controls required by the international standard for AI Governance.
Is Complai secure?
Complai has been developed following the actual AI, GDPR and Information Security Management standards and legislation. Data storage is kept to a minimum, data access and platform access requires multi factor identification, access to overall data is user and password restricted.
How can I start using Complai?

You will get the login codes and we will help you in setting up an account. First you will allocate responsibilities within your team (Complai admin, Management and employee) and then you will be asked to enter data in the Complai modules.
From day 1 you will be able to see your compliance status and monitor the compliance progress.
Type of contract
Complai is offered as a SAAS (Software as a Service) Cloud based subscription. The pricing is based on the type of compliance platform, the number of seats (employees) and the duration of the subscription.
As the AI Literacy requirements indicate a multi year program in which progress can be monitored and demonstrated we suggest a 3 year subscription is best suited. Full pricing details will be disclosed in a direct contact.
